Announcements CONFERENCES & SYMPOSIA The American Association for State and Local History AASLH), in partnership with the Michigan Museums Association, will host its annual meeting and online conference, "The Spirit of Rebirth," in Detroit, MI from September 14-17, 2016. The Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA) in Winston-Salem, NC will host a Saturday Seminar on September 17, 2016 featuring three experts in the field of southern longrifle studies: Mel Hankla, C. Michael Briggs, and Wayne Elliott. The Association of Science and Technology Centers (ASTC) will hold its annual conference, hosted by the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), in Tampa, FL from September 24-27, 2016.
