Graduate Students Receive Support for Summer 2017 Internships

Delaware’s museums, historical societies, and historic sites are great places to build skills that transfer anywhere! Many of our graduate students have received paid internships in Delaware institutions, gaining new skills in archive management, collections care, exhibit development and public programs. Simone Austin has received the Alfred Appel, Jr., Curatorial Fellowship at the Delaware Art Museum. Katherine Riley Tyler and Alex Ames are working with archival collections at the Delaware Historical Society. Sharon Hess will complete cataloging the photograph collection of the Arden Craft Shop Museum, a project begun by a 2016 intern. Ben Goldman and Aliza Alperin-Sherif will be working with our friend Dan Citron, Executive Director of the New Castle Historical Society, on a variety of curatorial and digital projects.
