New in 2016-17 – Undergraduate Minor

Why Minor in Museum Studies?

Our 18-credit minor is an excellent way to explore careers in museums, historic sites, archives, libraries and related organizations. Taking advantage of the rich array of institutions in our region, students go “behind the scenes” through courses that include hands-on experiences, the required internship, group service projects in small museums and field trips.

We also welcome students who are not planning careers in cultural institutions. Whatever your career plans, the minor will help you become an informed, enthusiastic visitor and supporter of the tens of thousands of museums in this country and around the world.

Whether you are planning a career or simply curious, you’ll be on your way to becoming a Museum Ace!
