Site Visits and Evaluations

Museum Studies @UD

By the date specified in the internship agreement, the student should schedule a site visit with the Internship Coordinator. Either the Intern Coordinator or the Director of the Museum Studies Program will travel to the internship site on a mutually convenient date, for a meeting with the intern lasting about one hour. As part of the site visit, the intern should also coordinate a brief meeting between his/her site supervisor and the Museum Studies representative. If geographic distance makes a site visit impossible, the meeting may occur via telephone or web conference.

Under “Forms for Students and Supervisors,” you will find both the Museum Studies Program internship contract and a form to be filled out as part of your experience supervising the student intern. This evaluation form is a simpler version of a human resources evaluation form. We recommend that the internship supervisor fill out this form and share it in a meeting with the student before the internship period ends.
