Register for Smithsonian Summer Sessions: Inspiring Civic Engagement, a free, five-day virtual workshop on June 27 – July 1, 2022, and join an online community of educators as we explore civic engagement through the lens of six Smithsonian museums.![]()
Museum educators will explore connections among museum resources and model transferable, inquiry-based strategies to implement with your students. Participants will learn new methods to teach with museum resources, build a new support network of education peers, and create an innovative learning experience for your classroom. You’ll also learn to use the Smithsonian Learning Lab to access and curate digital museum resources for learning.![]()
All educators are welcome. This institute is ideal for classroom teachers of any subject area or grade level. Participants will receive a certificate documenting their participation, including the number of professional development hours, upon completing the course.![]()
